Took my first job in the catering trade with a London based company, over the Christmas period through the college, after Christmas I was then offered this position on a full time live-in arrangement, where I continued to learn all departments of the hotel trade.

Continued my training in the trade with the Royal Navy, Army and Air Force, day to day duties were the preparation and serving of light meals and snacks to service men and women, the smooth running and stock control of the cellar and weekly stock checks for the bar and kitchen.

I joined best western as a bar man / waiter, and began to work my way up the ladder, after just over one year I became Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, from there I progressed to Conference and Banqueting Manager , then to Assistant Hotel Manger until February 2003 when I took the decision to drop to part time.

I was working with the Ground Catering Department of the club, duties are overall supervision of between 9 and 31 bars within the ground, stock control, man management, opening and closing cash checks.

Took on the challenge of running my own business at the Railway, a local public house that served food and drink, and was well known for its live music.

Sales
Currently I am part of a 6 person sales team that set up new accounts for companies with the need to hire vehicles and also build relationships with current customers, helping with all aspects of a credit account, from new hires to problems with everything from broken down vehicles to payments. More recently we have also started doing Credit hire for Insurance companies that have the need to supply to customers involved in an accident.
